Cloverdale

Cloverdale is Surrey's historic town centre, a former farming settlement southeast of the city, and about 46,000 people live here. The median age is around forty, and more than four in five households own. Houses make up most of what comes up for sale, with townhouses next and only a handful of apartments; three- and four-bedroom homes dominate.

The 320 bus runs about every half hour and takes you straight to SkyTrain in roughly 45 minutes.

The town centre has over 200 businesses — restaurants, retail and antique shops, grocery stores. The homemade gourmet cafe & bakery does pastries, breakfast and lunch. Cloverdale Supermarket is at 5791 176 St.

Clayton Dog Off-Leash Park at 7011 188 Street is the off-leash area — about three acres, fenced, with a paved path around the perimeter.

Public elementary schools include Cloverdale Traditional at 17857 56 Ave, Martha Currie at 5811 184 St, Surrey Centre at 16670 Old McLellan Rd, Sunrise Ridge at 18690 60 Ave, Latimer Road at 19233 60 Ave, and A J McLellan at 16545 61 Ave. Cloverdale Catholic School (17511 59 Ave) and Bibleway Christian Academy (18657 60 Ave) are independent.
